Human Rights Nights

Venue: Forlì (Italy)
Period: Apr. 11-13, 2012

Program

Organized by the University of Bologna, and the Municipality of Bologna, in collaboration with the Municipality of Forlì, The Polo Scientifico-Didattico di Forlì, and the Institute for Central Eastern and Balkan Europe, the Human Rights Nights festival will take place in Forlì on April 11-13, 2012. The program of the festival includes screenings of movies, conferences and discussions on issues related to the violation and protection of human rights across the world.

Human Rights Nights will be inaugurated on the evening of Wednesday 11 April with the greetings of local authorities and a play on the war in the former Yugoslavia. During the following day, lectures and screenings will focus on the Balkan and Eastern European context. Svetlana Broz, director of the Ngo Gariwo Sarajevo, will take part to the activities. On Friday 13, the main topics discussed will be migration, citizenship and human trafficking. The closing event will be held in the evening, with a buffet.

The event is free and open to all.

CALL FOR PAPERS

PECOB's call for papers

The Scientific Board of PECOB announces an open call for papers to be published with ISSN 2038-632X

Interested contributors may deal with any topic focusing on the political, economic, historical, social or cultural aspects of a specific country or region covered by PECOB.

Potential contributors must submit a short abstract (200-300 words) and the full text, which can be in English as well as any language from the countries covered by PECOB.

Upcoming deadlines for submitting proposals are:

January 31st, 2012
June 30th, 2012
November 30th, 2012

All texts must comply with PECOB Submission Guidelines (www.pecob.eu).
