JoinEU-SEE: Scholarships available!

"JoinEU-SEE" programme has launched a new call for applications last October 15, 2010!

Closing date is February 1, 2024 at 23:59.

Are you a national of the Western Balkans? Would you like to study abroad and start your mobility in Autumn 2011? Check your eligibility for the scholarships offered by the JoinEU SEE!

JoinEU–SEE programme promotes the mobility of European and third country students, academics and researchers with a background of academic excellence, in particular from vulnerable groups, in order to offer them the opportunity to obtain qualifications as well as experience in the European Union.

The programme is designed as a scholarship scheme for academic exchange between the Western Balkan countries and the EU & Candidate countries and aims at strengthening the cooperation between the EU & Candidate countries and Western Balkan countries not only in the academic field, but also in the political, cultural and economic realms in order to develop a common vision of a united Europe.

Mobility is envisaged for all levels of studies: Undergraduate, Masters, Doctorate, Post-Doctorate, and Staff. Besides a monthly allowance and tuition fee, the scholarship will include travel costs and medical insurance. Students and faculty members of all partner universities, both from the Western Balkan countries and EU & Candidate countries, as well as other Nationals of Western Balkan countries can apply for scholarships

The project is financed by the Erasmus Mundus action 2 –Strand 1 programme and the types of mobility vary according to the target groups.

Join EU-SEE consortium is composed by European and Western Balkans Universities and Associate Partners active in the dissemination and promotion of the programme.

EU Universities of the consortium:

  • the University of Graz, co-ordinator of the programme (Austria),
  • the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium),
  • the Masaryk University, Brno (Czech Republic),
  • the University of Maribor (Slovenia),
  • the University of Bologna (Italy),
  • the University of Granada (Spain),
  • the University of Groningen (The Netherlands),
  • the University of Latvia, Riga (Latvia),
  • the University of Turku (Finland),
  • the Vilnius University (Lithuania).

Western Balkan Universities of the consortium:

  • the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (FYR of Macedonia),
  • the University of Belgrade (Serbia),
  • the University of Montenegro (Montenegro),
  • the University of Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina),
  • the University of Novi Sad (Serbia),
  • the University of Prishtina (Kosovo),
  • the University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina),
  • the University of Tirana (Albania),
  • the University of Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and
  • the University of Zadar.

All Universities offer a wide range of studies open to the participants of the exchange programmes, check possible fields of study.

Application will be open from October 15th 2010 to February 1st, 2011.

CALL FOR PAPERS

PECOB's call for papers

The Scientific Board of PECOB announces an open call for papers to be published with ISSN 2038-632X

Interested contributors may deal with any topic focusing on the political, economic, historical, social or cultural aspects of a specific country or region covered by PECOB.

Potential contributors must submit a short abstract (200-300 words) and the full text, which can be in English as well as any language from the countries covered by PECOB.

Upcoming deadlines for submitting proposals are:

January 31st, 2011
June 30th, 2011
November 30th, 2011

All texts must comply with PECOB Submission Guidelines (www.pecob.eu).
